Generally Available – Route-maps for Azure Virtual WAN

Microsoft Azure has officially rolled out the generally available release of route-maps for Azure Virtual WAN. This new feature offers enhanced control over route advertisements and routing within Azure Virtual WAN virtual hubs, catering specifically to site-to-site (S2S) VPN connections. With route-maps, you can now exercise a greater degree of control over the routing processes, allowing you to manage the inflow and outflow of network traffic more efficiently. It’s a significant update for network administrators and IT professionals looking to fine-tune their connectivity strategies.

This enhancement is poised to empower users by providing sophisticated routing capabilities, which are essential for maintaining secure and efficient network operations. By customizing the routes, users can optimize the flow of data in and out of Azure’s infrastructure, potentially leading to improved performance and security. This development underscores Microsoft’s commitment to continuously evolving its Azure services to meet the growing demands of cloud computing environments.

Hi, I’m Oskar!

Cloud architect by day, tech tinkerer by night, and a proud father all the time. Born in 1990 in Poland and now based in Germany, I spend my days diving deep into cloud, Azure, and all things technology. But my passions go beyond the digital world – I love DIY projects, home automation, biking, gardening, and cooking (because good food fuels great ideas).

This little blog is where I share my insights, experiments, and thoughts on cloud tech – because let’s be honest, the internet can always use one more tech enthusiast’s perspective.
